I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
